Professor Alok Tiwari is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, United Kingdom. He is also a Visiting Professor of Vascular Surgery at Birmingham City University. He specialises in all aspects of vascular surgery with an special interest in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins (including radiofrequency ablation and endovenous laser treatment), aneurysms (open and endovascular), carotid artery disease and lower limb bypass especially in diabetics. He instigated the multidisclipinary diabetic foot clinic at Queen Elizabeth Hospital the aim of which is to reduce major amputation in these patients. He provides specialist help for spinal surgeons for back surgery, ENT surgeon for carotid body tumours and paediatric vascular surgery. He also undertakes medicolegal work in all aspects of vascular surgery.
